The Professional Lawn Care Association of America recently polled its members about the current and future prices of fertilizer. Ninety-one percent of respondents said that their prices of fertilizer have increased in the last year. Price increases ranged from 2 to 35 percent. Almost all respondents felt that prices would get even higher later in the year.

Seventy-seven percent said that they either raised or plan to raise customer pricing to offset increasing fertilizer prices. This increase may also be due to rising gas prices and insurance costs. Most are raising prices across the board, while some are raising prices higher for new accounts.
