PLCAA's 2002 president to be announced at GIE
The Professional Lawn Care Association of America's 23rd president will be announced at the Association's Green Industry Conference in conjunction with the Green Industry Exposition, Nov. 9-13, Tampa, Fla. Bill Hoopes will take on the leadership role after nearly 10 years serving on PLCAA's Board and committees.
In a recent Association interview, Hoopes, director of training, development and regulatory affairs, Scotts LawnService, Marysville, Ohio, talked about his focus as president, his outlook on the industry, and his practical yet positive approach to conducting business in trying times. His message to businesses: "hang tough."
To help businesses "hang tough," Hoopes along with PLCAA's leaders and staff are encouraging lawn care professionals to join the Association at a special Town Hall Meeting at GIE on Monday, Nov. 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Tampa Convention Center. Lawn care leaders will lead an open forum on "Business Survival Strategies During a National Crisis."
