Rain Bird to participate in Rose Bowl Parade

Rain Bird Sprinkler Mfg. Corp. is taking part in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses on New Year’s Day 2002. The theme of the float is Animal Ambassadors and it is a floral depiction of a fun-filled outing to the zoo. Six separate waterfalls, a signature element of all of Rain Bird’s floats, highlights the company’s reverence for water and its importance to the environment.

Jack Hanna, Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and renown animal expert, and Walter Crawford, Founder and Director of the World Bird Sanctuary are the float riders this year.

This is Rain Bird’s sixth year as a participant in the Tournament of Roses Parade, having won the Sweepstakes Trophy in 2001, 1999, and 1998.
