STIHL Inc. is recalling about 890 backpack blowers. The blowers have a model number of BR 420C and a serial number in the following ranges: 47988257 through 47989256 and 49014561 through 49015560. The name “STIHL” and model number appear on the starter, and the serial number appears above the starter. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the blowers were sold between November 2000 and January 2001.

STIHL is voluntarily recalling the blowers because a fuel hose on the carburetor can possibly be discharged and leak fuel. However, no injuries have been reported at this time.
