Schreiner to present at Carolina’s Superintendent’s Conference
Acclaimed course architect Craig Schreiner will present a half-day seminar on sand bunker renovation and construction at the Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association's 35th Annual Conference and Trade Show in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Nov. 12-14. The trade show attracts more than 2,000 attendees each year, making it the nation's largest regional event specifically for golf course superintendents.
Drawing on experience from over 70 course renovations, Schreiner’s seminar will focus on how the superintendent can effectively orchestrate a sand bunker renovation project from inception to completion; assessing the strategic value of golf course bunkering; application of basic bunker design criteria; sand bunker renovation and construction techniques and the proper selection of construction materials and grow-in methods.
Highly regarded for his work at well-known courses such as Oak Hill, Firestone, NCR and numerous classical restorations throughout the country, Schreiner conducts a similar two-day seminar at the Golf Course Superintendent’s Association of America’s annual meeting.
