Shindaiwa Donates to EETCShindaiwa Inc. is pleased to announce the donation of $5,000 to the Equipment & Engine Training Council.
The EETC was established in 1997 to help address the overall shortage of qualified service technicians and is represented by manufacturers, distributors, dealers, associations, technical schools and colleges. The mission of the EETC is to promote high performance, ethical standards and excellence in education and training throughout the industry.
According to Jim Roche, executive director of the EETC, “2003 is starting out to be a fantastic year for the EETC…With 54 schools now accredited, we will have more than 600 new technicians entering the power equipment industry.” The EETC also has big plans for this year, including the addition of more accredited schools, the development of a new golf course technicians program, the new student scholarship Program, and the “Recruiting & Retaining Service Technicians” book that was introduced at this year’s EETC Conference.
In regards to the Shindaiwa donation Roche stated, “We sincerely appreciate the support you have shown our organization. All of this is made possible because of your support.” The next annual meeting of the EETC will be held at the Shindaiwa Inc campus in Tualatin, Ore. starting April 16, 2004.
