Shindaiwa Donates Generators

Shindaiwa, Inc. donated eight commercial-grade, 5,800-watt generators to two humanitarian relief organizations: Northwest Medical Teams and Mercy Corps will each receive four Shindaiwa EGR6000 gas-powered generators.

According to their respective Web sites: “Northwest Medical Teams is a non-profit organization working to reduce suffering around the world; NWMT has helped meet the physical and spiritual needs of devastated people in countries like Cambodia, Mexico, Honduras, Romania, and Afghanistan … More than 1,000 international volunteers have brought desperately needed care and hope to millions of people in crisis.”

Mercy Corps, “Is a not-for-profit organization that exists to alleviate suffering, poverty, and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities …With headquarters in the United States and Scotland, Mercy Corps is an international family of agencies that reaches more than five million people each year.”

According to Dave Dahlstrom, director of sales and marketing for Kwiet Power, the industrial products division of Shindaiwa, Inc., “The donated generators will help in disaster response including medical emergencies and other relief needs. Shindaiwa is pleased that it could assist both humanitarian organizations.”
