Shindaiwa Reports Solid 2002-03 GrowthTualatin, Ore.-based Shindaiwa Inc. announced recently it concluded its second best ever year of growth. President Tom Bunch made the announcement at an employee quarterly meeting recently.
“In spite of tough economic conditions in many countries in which we operate, our successes this year are a result of great teamwork,” Bunch said. “Our customers along with all of you rose to the occasion in a ‘can-do’ manner.”
Mike Nichols, director of marketing, recognized both the efforts of customers and the sales force, stating “Sales were exceptionally strong for the first five months of our year, building a comfortable cushion that was maintained all year. We jump-started the year and never let up. Keeping our distributors’ sales forces challenged and motivated was instrumental to the successful implementation of our exciting dealer sales programs.
“While North American sales were terrific, sales in certain Latin American markets were impacted by politics, economics and currency issues,” said Jorge Lazo, vice president, sales. “We are developing significant product improvements as well as introducing new products that will be well received by our Latin American customers.
