Shindaiwa selects Distributor Service Manager of the Year

During celebrations for the company’s 15th annual service seminar in Tualatin, Ore., Shindaiwa, Inc presented its 2002 Distributor Service Manager of the Year Award to Gene Hood of Smith’s South-Central Sales Company located in Springhill, La.

According to Pete Fernald, Shindaiwa technical service manager, “We can always count on Gene to take care of business. He submits timely and accurate warranty claims, demonstrates first-rate product knowledge, has tremendous troubleshooting skills, and consistently performs outstanding service for all of his customers time after time. In short, working with Gene Hood is always a real pleasure no matter what the project or issue.” With a legacy of service manager awards, the Smiths really know about the importance of having quality service. Before his retirement, long-time Smith service manager, Jack McMurtry, had previously won the Shindaiwa Service Manager of the Year Award—twice.
