Southeast Regional Conference to be held in Suffern

SUFFERN, NY – On February 25, 2002 the New York State Turfgrass Association (NYSTA) will present the Southeast Regional Conference, a one-day seminar designed to inform turf professionals of the latest research and cultural practices at the Holiday Inn – Suffern. In addition to the educational sessions, this one-day conference will include a trade show with vendors representing green industry products.

This year’s Southeast Regional Conference has a strong focus on environmental issues for the turf industry with topics on Integrated Pest Management, communicating pest management practices to the public and 48-Hour Notification. Noteworthy speakers include Dr. Darrell Sumner, Wake Forest University; Dr. Michael Agnew, Syngenta Professional Products; Dr. Frank Rossi, Dr. George Hudler and Dr. Clifford Scherer, Cornell University. Conference hours are from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, with registration beginning at 6:00 am. The cost of the program is $70.00 for NYSTA members/$80.00 for nonmembers. Registration fee will include all instruction, materials, breaks and lunch. New NYSTA members may attend for half the member rate ($35 preregistered).
