Syngenta Donates to Environmental ResearchSyngenta Professional Products, a company that provides golf course turf management solutions, donated $1,000 to environmental research by sponsoring the 4th Annual Sullivan County Challenge fundraising golf tournament held at Grossinger Country Club in Liberty, New York, on August 20, 2003. According to Lee Kozsey, Sales Representative for Syngenta, which is based in Greensboro, North Carolina, environmental research and development has been, and will continue to be, a priority for the company. Syngenta offers golf course superintendents and landscape management firms the products needed to prevent and cure turfgrass diseases and manage healthy turf.
The Sullivan County Challenge, an annual four-man handicap scramble tournament, is sponsored by The New York State Turfgrass Association, Grossinger Country Club, and the Hudson Valley Golf Course Superintendents Association. This year’s event drew 134 attendees and nearly $10,000 in donations.
Syngenta Professional Products is a member of the New York State Turfgrass Association - a group of individuals in the green industry who have joined together to share technology, promote environmental stewardship, support education, advance research, and disseminate research findings.
