Syngenta receives new label for Medallion Fungicide

Syngenta Professional Products’ Medallion (fludioxonil) fungicide recently received a new label from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for control of pink snow mold and gray snow mold for lawn and golf turf management; and for the control of Rhizoctonia, Cylindrocladium, Fusarium and Sclerotium on landscape ornamentals. When applied at 0.5 oz per 1000 sq. ft. in the fall before snow cover, Medallion gives turf managers protection against snow mold.

Although Medallion is a contact fungicide, research in the Pacific Northwest, the Northeast and the Rocky Mountains shows that it actually controls the disease in the thatch and near the surface of the soil, delivering sound preventive diseased control.
