Tecumseh Products Co. , known in our industry for their engines, announced lower-than-expected third-quarter earnings and said it did not expect significant improvements for the remainder of 2001. The company earned $5.2 million, or 28 cents per share, compared to the 75 cents per share analysts were anticipating.
