Textron announces new president

Textron Golf, Turf & Specialty Products (TGTSP) announced today that Jon R. Carlson has joined the company as President of its Turf and Professional Lawn Care (Turf/PLC) business. As Turf/PLC President, Carlson will be responsible for all aspects of Textron 's golf, turf and professional lawn care business, including sales, marketing, engineering and manufacturing. Carlson will report directly to TGTSP Chairman and CEO Greg Hyland.

Carlson comes to Textron with nearly 25 years of management experience in operations, sales and marketing. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Case Corporation 's North American agricultural business unit. During his tenure at Case, he also served as Vice President and General Manager of both retail operations and the construction business unit. Prior to Case, Carlson was President and COO of Lake State Equipment and also held a number of positions at Deere and Company.

Carlson will be based at Turf/PLC 's Charlotte headquarters.
