78th Annual ISA conference and trade show
The International Society of Arboriculture and the Pacific Northwest Chapter are hosting the 78th Annual ISA Conference & Trade Show July 28-31, 2002, in Seattle, Wash.
Keynote Dr. Peter Raven, Director of the Missouri Botanical Garden will be presenting “A Conservation Ethic for Arboriculture.” Dr. Claus Mattheck, author of The Body Language of Trees, will be providing an all-day workshop on tree dynamics and presenting the “Latest Advances in Tree Structure Research.” There will be climbing demonstrations by ISA World Champions Mark Chisholm, Bernd Strasser, Ken Palmer, and Rip Tompkins on the Trade Show floor. There are over 60 education sessions with a total of 24 ISA Certified Arborists continuing educations units available. Pre- and Post-conference tours include hikes to old-growth forests, a cruise to Alaska, whale watching in the San Juan islands, a study tour of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and much more.
