Thinking orange: Textron Golf Products adopt unified color
Orange is the new flagship color for the turf maintenance brands of Textron Golf, Turf & Specialty Products. Textron, the largest supplier in the industry, has marketed its four major brands (Jacobsen, Cushman, Ransomes and Ryan) in various brand identity colors since 1998. The move to one primary color is part of a major, new marketing initiative to visually unify the company's golf equipment line.
For sales to the golf market in the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region, Cushman turf vehicles and Ryan aerators and seeders will now wear Jacobsen orange—a color synonymous with 83 years of Jacobsen quality turf equipment. Simultaneously, major changes will take place in the marketing strategy for Ransomes brand mowers.
The Americas: Effective, Nov. 1, the Ransomes brand is being discontinued, except in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Popular products from the Ransomes line will continue to be sold in the Americas under the Jacobsen brand.
United Kingdom and Europe: The Ransomes brand, established in England in 1832, will serve as Textron's primary mower brand in Europe. Jacobsen will continue to be Textron's leading brand offering to the European golf and sports turf market.
