Trees? What trees?
The Rainforest Action Network (RAN) has been asking donors to foot the bill to "help compensate for the extra cost of using tree-free paper" it claims it uses in its mailings. However, as reported by the Washington Times, an analysis of an RAN mailer showed it was nearly 100% wood pulp. The analysis was obtained by John Campbell, identified as a California GOP fundraiser, who is asking the U.S. Postal Service to investigate.
RAN continues to say that its mailers are made only of tree-free paper (hemp, cotton and farm waste, for example).
