UC’s IPM program taking its reduced pesticide message to public agencies
The University of California’s Statewide Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Project is sponsoring a March 4-5 conference to help employees of public agencies reduce pesticide use in their battle against pests. Public schools, cities, public gardens and park districts are being encouraged to reduce reliance on pesticides in their landscape and structural pest control programs. This conference will present the latest research-based practical information on pest biology and help pest control professionals develop integrated pest management strategies.
The Integrated Pest Management for Public Agencies Conference will be held in the UC Davis Buehler Alumni Center. Registration can be taken online with a major credit card at the UC Davis Conference & Event Services Web site – http://conferences.ucdavis.edu (click on the word “academic” and choose from the list of conferences).
