Valent tabs new president
Valent U.S.A. announced today that Masayo Tada will return to Valent to lead the company. Tada replaces Mike Borel, who has served as president of Valent since 1998.
Tada was formerly an officer of Valent having served as vice president of marketing and planning from 1988 - 1992. He returns to Valent from its parent company, Sumitomo Chemical Company, Ltd. a company that develops and markets products to protect crops, improve food quality, beautify the environment and safeguard public health. A member of the Sumitomo Chemical Board of Directors, Tada was responsible for the Plant Protection Division.
"Valent is committed to its crop protection business and customers with the support of Sumitomo," explains Tada. "The United States will continue to be a key strategic market in the global business strategy of Sumitomo, with Valent as the core of our U.S. business structure."
