Veterans honored by Ohio Lawn Care Assn.

Members of the Ohio Lawn Care Association (OLCA) will dedicate their time, services and supplies to the Dayton National Cemetery at the 6th annual “A Grateful Embrace 2001.” On Saturday, November 3, 2001, 40-50 lawn care professionals from around Ohio will fertilize and apply weed control to 100 acres on the cemetery grounds and the nearby VA Medical Center.

The day will begin with a Dedication Ceremony, in which the American Legion Post #675 will carry the colors and give a 21-gun salute. Guest speakers include Chief Master Sergeant David D. Mimms from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Owens Technical College student Jacqueline Hague. Event sponsors are Dow AgroSciences, Lesco, Shaw’s/Knox Fertilizer and The Anderson’s.
