Volvo, Volvo CE Sponsor Sailing Championship

Volvo and Volvo Construction Equipment North America are the title sponsor of the 2003 J-22 North American Championship, a major international sailing event that will be held on Lake Ontario in June.

The 2003 J22 Volvo North American Championship will be held at the Youngstown, N.Y., Yacht Club, June 23-28. The Youngstown Yacht Club, which hosted the J-22 North American Championship in 1995, was one of the first sailing clubs in North America to host a large multi-class “Level Regatta.” Nearly 60 J-22 sailboats, one of the most popular classes in the sailing world, are expected to compete at the 2003 Volvo North American Championship. Crews will be coming from throughout the United States and Canada.
