Workshop offers the "dirt" on soils

The WSU Cooperative Extension Compost Team is announcing a Soil Biology Workshop to be held on Feb 5, 2002. It is being organized by the Washington State University Cooperative Extension Compost Team.

Farmers, gardeners, and land managers hear about new ideas, practices, and products for managing biological populations and processes in the soil, but have difficulty evaluating the validity of the information.

This workshop will include presentations from some of the leading soil biologists in the Pacific Northwest. This diverse group of researchers will share their perspectives and address your questions on the science of soil biology and its applications to soil and plant management on farms, in gardens, and in landscapes.

Date: February 5, 2002, 9 AM to 4 PM

Location: Lake Washington Technical College, Kirkland, WA
