Harrell’s Fertilizer, Inc., a producer of custom-blended fertilizers and distributor of chemicals and grass seed to turf and ornamental professionals, and former Simplot Partners Turf Sales Managers, announced the acquisition of Simplot Partners NE Division. The new independent company will be known as Harrell’s Turf Specialty LLC (HTS) and will be a distributor of fertilizer and chemicals to the golf course and sports turf industries in the Northeast.

HTS will employ approximately 40 individuals including 20 specialty turf products representatives living throughout the Northeast. HTS will retain the current Simplot Partners NE distribution locations in Danbury, Conn.; York, Pa.; Butler, Pa.; Auburn, Mass.; and Londonderry, N.H.
