Husqvarna University Expands Course Offerings
Husqvarna’s Web-based learning management system, Husqvarna University, has recently expanded to include seven new training programs with 65 individual courses. Husqvarna University serves as an online virtual classroom and training center. The training programs cover topics including basic technical knowledge, advanced product knowledge, brand knowledge and business knowledge basics.
“Today’s fast paced outdoor power equipment industry requires technicians and salespeople that are certified and competent on the latest products and technologies,” said Steve Uljua, LMS manager, “but taking employees away from the dealership for several days to train them does not always make good business sense.” Husqvarna University is available on-line 24 hours a day, seven days a week from any location with Internet access, providing a more cost-efficient solution for training.

Husqvarna also administers its warranty certification through the University, so dealers have access to their certification status at any time. Many dealers also use Husqvarna University as a reference library for critical information about products and services. Since its launch in January 2003, more than 8,500 students have enrolled in Husqvarna University.
