HydroPoint’s WeatherTRAK Hits Primetime With ABC And FOX TV Home Makeover Programs
HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc., a provider of smart irrigation management solutions, recently announced that its WeatherTRAK solution has been selected for fall shows from the ABC and FOX TV networks. WeatherTRAK will be featured on the FOX program “Renovate My Family” and on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”
The FOX program “Renovate My Family” will profile the Cole-Reimer family and the renovation of their home in Lancaster, Calif. “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” from ABC will feature the remodel of the Grinnan family home in Redlands, Calif. HydroPoint partnered with Chino, Calif.-based Irrigator Tech to install the WeatherTRAK solution for both families. Among the upgrades made to the Cole-Reimer and Grinnan homes, HydroPoint’s fully automated WeatherTRAK solution will provide accurate, water conserving irrigation to ensure the continued health and beauty of the families’ new landscapes.
“WeatherTRAK solutions improve the quality of life by allowing families to relax and enjoy their landscapes together,” said Chris Manchuck, vice president of business development for HydroPoint. “We’re pleased that WeatherTRAK was selected for ABC and FOX, knowing that our solution will provide deserving families with healthy, beautiful landscapes and reduce their water bills while also protecting and preserving local water resources.”
ABC and FOX seek out industry leading home and garden products to provide families with high quality, lasting improvements. Both networks selected WeatherTRAK because it is an irrigation management solution for residential and commercial landscapes. WeatherTRAK continually adjusts irrigation based on real-time, weather-based evapotranspiration (ET) data. With WeatherTRAK, landscapes get precisely the water they need based on parameters including plant type, soil type, slope, sun exposure and changing local weather.
ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” hosted by Ty Pennington, garnered an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Reality Program in its first season. Each episode features a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take at least four months to achieve, involving a team of designers, contractors and several hundred who have just seven days to totally rebuild an entire house—every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping.
Hosted by best-selling author Jay McGraw, FOX’s “Renovate My Family” is not just a home improvement show. It’s a life improvement program that visits families who have encountered some challenges along the way.
