American Society Of Irrigation Consultants Elects New President
Daniel Benner, president of Hydro Environmental, Inc., Marietta, Ga., was elected president of the American Society of Irrigation Consultants (ASIC) at the group’s annual conference held this month in Newport Beach, Calif.
Over the past 31 years, Benner has designed or been involved in over 2,650 irrigation projects for numerous public and private sector interests, including golf courses, hotels and resorts, residential communities, corporate office parks and athletic fields. Benner’s especially notable projects include the Atlanta Athletic Club, the Augusta National Cabins, the Wilderness Lodge in Disney World and TIAA-CREF, Charlotte, N.C. Hydro Environmental is currently working on master plans for a 2,400-acre Sandestin Resort and a 500-acre site for ARVIDA in Destin, Fla.

In accepting the two-year term, Benner said he is excited to have the opportunity to support and promote the increasingly important role that professional irrigation consultants play in the pursuit of sound water management solutions that achieve environmental and business objectives.
