John Deere Named Provider Of Grounds Equipment To Padres, Mets And Athletics
Continuing its commitment to the sports turf industry, John Deere recently announced that the company is now provider of grounds care equipment for three major league baseball teams, including the New York Mets, the San Diego Padres and the Oakland Athletics (A’s). John Deere recently signed three-year sponsorship agreements with the Padres and A’s and a one-year agreement with the Mets, according to Gregg Breningmeyer, director of sales and marketing, John Deere Golf & Turf One Source.
“We believe these new partnerships are a great fit. John Deere is a well-known brand with its roots firmly planted in American soil…and what’s more American than baseball? We are proud that our equipment will be a significant part of America’s favorite pastime and will be responsible for providing these teams with an excellent playing surface,” said Breningmeyer.
“Our team is more likely to succeed if it’s playing on superior turf,” said Clay Wood, head groundskeeper, Oakland A’s. “For seven years we’ve been able to count on our John Deere mowers to provide a high-quality cut, so when looking for new equipment, we went to John Deere again. With the range of equipment offerings, the responsive distributors and the compatible company values, this is a partnership that can’t be matched.”
While details for each agreement are varied, the partnerships include everything from in-stadium video messages and print advertising to signage and hospitality opportunities.
