Kubota Group Commits $200,000 to the American Red Cross

Kubota Tractor Corporation (KTC), Kubota Credit Corporation (KCC), Kubota Manufacturing of America (KMA), Kubota Engine America Corporation (KEA) and Kubota Industrial Equipment (KIE) have committed an initial cash donation of $200,000 to the American Red Cross for immediate Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

"Kubota would like to express our sympathy and support to the victims of the recent disaster and we are committed to offering assistance to help immediately," said Tetsuji "Mike" Tomita, president, Kubota Tractor Corporation. "The devastation from Hurricane Katrina has affected all of us. Because Kubota manufactures equipment that is invaluable in this type of clean-up and reconstruction, we are also determining the donation of equipment in-kind totaling $200,000 to help support relief efforts."

In addition, Kubota's U.S. subsidiaries will match each employee donation to the American Red Cross Hurricane 2005 fund to provide additional relief funds.
