Maruyama, U.S., Inc., a manufacturer of commercial-grade outdoor power equipment, supported the Spay and Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) through the donation of a BLL26000 25.6-cc hand-held blower. This is the fourth year that Maruyama has donated to this charity. The blower was part of a silent auction at the Puttin’ on the Ritz event in Houston, Texas, on September 24, 2005. All proceeds from this event benefit SNAP, an organization that provides spay and neuter procedures for free or at a reduced cost. In the past ten years SNAP’s efforts have reduced the number of homeless animals destroyed in Houston shelters by 20 percent.
