Meyer Helps Plow the Way to Hawaii
Meyer Products, a U.S. manufacturer of snow and ice control products, will kick off its second year of partnerships with five NFL teams for the 2005-2006 season. As part of its integrated partnerships with the NFL teams, Meyer will present the Offensive Lineman of the Year award for each NFL club.
For the 2005 NFL season, Meyer Snowplow will be the “Official Snowplow” of the Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings and the “Preferred Snowplow” of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Meyer will receive radio inventory, promotional rights and an Internet presence with each club.
Several offensive linemen will be official spokesmen for Meyer. These spokesmen include career greats such as Pittsburgh’s Craig Wolfley, as well as current stars like Minnesota Viking Matt Birk, Trey Teague of the Buffalo Bills, Mike Flynn of the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Brown Jeff Faine.
Additionally, Meyer will execute a distributor promotion that will reward winners with trips to Hawaii in February 2006 for the NFL Pro Bowl. The Meyer “Plow Your Way to Hawaii” Sweepstakes will allow fans to vote for their favorite Offensive Lineman at participating Meyer distributorships. Once submitted, the vote becomes an entry into the Hawaii trip sweepstakes. Each team will also provide a link on the team’s website to encourage fan participation.
“Meyer is proud to be associated with some of the NFL’s premier teams and equally proud to recognize the hardest working men in the NFL,” states Pete Robison, Director of Marketing. “These partnerships will allow our distributors the ability to leverage the strong brands of the NFL in each of their markets.”
