Mid-Am Expands Conference Line Up for 2007 Show
The Mid-America Horticultural Trade Show (Mid-Am) has expanded its essential educational sessions for the 2007 show by partnering with the Irrigation Association (IA) to bring the IA Certification Program and classes to Mid-Am's conference series. The trade show is scheduled for Jan. 17-19, 2007, at Lakeside Center in Chicago's McCormick Place Convention Center. Mid-Am's conference program includes the newly added IA Certification Program Wednesday through Friday, the pre-show Management Workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 16, the free Keynote Address on Wednesday, and the Midwinter Conference Wednesday through Friday.
The IA Certification Program and classes offers professionals who provide services in any aspect of irrigation, including consultants, designers, architects, contractors and technicians, an opportunity to obtain certification in a variety of disciplines. Classes include Certified Irrigation Contractor, Landscape Irrigation Design, Irrigation System Installation & Maintenance and SMART Technologies for Irrigation Management. Classes. Exams for the Certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC) and Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) certification program are scheduled for Friday. A brochure containing registration information and session details will be available in early October. In addition, details will be posted on the Mid‑Am Web site at www.midam.org beginning in late September.
