Growth Prompts More Changes at PBI/Gordon

PBI/Gordon Corporation has recently announced the addition of former GCSAA president Dave Fearis to its team of territory sales representatives. Fearis, who has been working for the company for several years in a product management and golf market consulting position, will now be responsible for sales in the state of Iowa.

“Our recent growth has created many management challenges, both internally and in the field,” says Mark Miller, vice president of sales for the company’s professional and agricultural product group. “Adding these sales responsibilities to Dave’s duties at PBI/Gordon means sacrificing his time in other areas, but Iowa has always been a key state for us and Dave’s experience with the golf market and with our products made this change one we had to consider.”

Prior to his career as golf course superintendent, Fearis worked in a sales position in the professional turf and ornamental industry. Fearis is happy to be back in the field. “I enjoy being out and moving around,” confesses Fearis. “Meeting new people and sharing experiences is more rewarding to me than working at a desk.”
