The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is pleased to introduce two new award programs—the Community Service Award and the Association Partner of the Year Awards.

The Community Service Award will honor a landscape or lawn care company that has demonstrated leadership through their dedication and contribution to the good of the community. Entries will be judged on the basis of the level of importance of the community service, years of involvement, success of the project, and the impact the project has had on the community. The program is open to PLANET members only and will not require an entry fee.

The Association Partner of the Year Awards will honor both an individual state/regional association executive and a state/regional association for their contributions to the green industry within their own state or region and nationally as a member of PLANET. This program is open to state and regional association PLANET members only and will not require an entry fee.

Information and entry forms for these awards programs will be available on the PLANET Web site, www.landcarenetwork.org, in June. The entry deadline for both programs is August 18, 2005.
