Clark and Pro-Am Team Win at Deere Run

PGA TOUR professional Michael Clark II recently led his team to victory at the John Deere One Source Superintendent Pro-Am at Deere Run, with a combined score of 54. The five-person winning lineup included professional Michael Clark II; Jeff Thompson, superintendent, Old Trail Golf Club; Steve Merkel, manager, Landscapes Unlimited; Kevin Johnson, president of Johnson Consulting; and Rick Hill, golf irrigation product manager, John Deere Golf & Turf One Source.

With close to 150 attendees, the exclusive three-day event that included the Pro-Am led up to the John Deere Classic and immersed One Source guests into all things John Deere. Activities began with a pairings party at John Deere corporate headquarters, followed by the Pro-Am at Deere Run on Monday. The event wrapped with the well-known construction equipment “Big Dig” ride-and-drive and the John Deere Charity Scramble.

In addition to the exclusive activities, the One Source event provided attendees an opportunity to mingle with some of the biggest names in golf: Notah Begay III, Bob May and Alex Cejka were among pros who participated.
