New Products, Classes, Networking Top Reasons for Attending Irrigation Show
Attendees from the 2005 International Irrigation Show overwhelmingly identified the expo as a good investment, and many expressed enthusiasm for San Antonio, the next stop for the show.
Nearly 95 percent of respondents to a survey of 2005 participants said the show was a good investment of time and money, and more than two-thirds plan to attend the 27th Annual International Irrigation Show in San Antonio Nov. 5-7.
Learning about new products in exhibits was identified as the most important benefit, followed by attending Irrigation Association classes and networking to make new contacts and maintain established relationships. Taking Certification exams, visiting a new location and learning about water conservation were also mentioned.
Attendees expressed enthusiasm about San Antonio as a destination for 2006, noting that the city has a vibrant downtown with an interesting nightlife, making it a good place to meet suppliers and socialize.
The show is the largest gathering of irrigation equipment and services in the world. It includes a New Product Contest, featuring products introduced to the market in the last year for turf/landscape, agriculture and golf course irrigation. Nearly 70 percent of the survey respondents visited the contest area, and 80 percent who visited gave it a top rating.
All Irrigation Association Education courses and Certification exams will be offered before and during the International Irrigation Show in San Antonio. The show also includes daily Technical Sessions, industry meetings and industry tours that provide a glimpse into innovations in agriculture and turf/landscape irrigation in a region that has demonstrated leadership in planning for and responding to drought.
