Profile Products Becomes Sponsoring Partner of Land Development Breakthroughs Workshops
Profile Products has teamed with Land Development Today to become a sponsoring partner of the Land Development Breakthroughs Applied Low Impact Development (LID) Workshops. Eighteen workshops are scheduled in 2006 throughout the country.
LID is a method of providing storm water management by specifying a wide variety of land planning techniques and Best Management Practices (BMP). The goal of LID is to integrate a diverse selection of storm water management practices throughout site designs to attempt to mimic pre-development designs.
Applied LID Workshops focus on applying LID site and storm water management techniques to actual design problems. Attendees learn the details of applying LID design to their projects and how to determine if their designs meet LID criteria. Attendees include engineers, architects and environmental scientists.
With the sponsorship, Profile receives exposure through the Internet and on materials distributed at each workshop. The workshops kick off March 22, 2006 in Orlando, Fla., and will travel across the country through November.
