Shindaiwa Marketing Shifts to Global Focus

Shindaiwa announces the promotion of Jay Larsen to the position of marketing manager, North America, and Laura Sorrentino-Howard, is promoted to marketing manager, International.

Jay Larsen is a graduate of Clatsop College and has worked 15 years at Shindaiwa as a technical services representative and as product marketing & communications manager. According to Mike Nichols, vice president, marketing & business development, “With his experiences over the years, Jay has garnered excellent product knowledge and is very familiar with customers and their expectations.” Larsen is responsible for all aspects of North American Marketing providing timely and effective sales support tools.

Laura Sorrentino-Howard earned a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Argentina in Buenos Aires and has been an integral member of the Shindaiwa marketing team for four years. “Laura is eminently qualified for her new International marketing role. She is tri-lingual speaking English, Spanish, and Japanese, possesses a great, can-do attitude and has strong creative energy”, says Nichols. Howard is responsible for all aspects of International Marketing providing timely and effective sales support tools.

According to Tom Bunch, president, Shindaiwa, “These changes allow Shindaiwa to deliver better tailored marketing support, programs, and materials to our sales people and customers faster and more effectively than ever before. Customers can fully expect further improvements to our responsiveness and focus on North American and International business. We want it to be continually easier to sell our products.
