A New Show Is Born In North Carolina
The Turfgrass Council of North Carolina announces a newly formatted annual event to be called the Turfgrass Industry Expo (TIE).
TIE will feature a Turf Industry Conference as well as the Expo. The Conference will offer more or an assortment of education opportunities than ever before. The Expo part of the event will scale back the large Shows of the past to take advantage of the intimate store-front type atmosphere in which members from all over the turfgrass industry will be better able to socialize, fellowship and relax.
The 2005 TIE will be held January 17-20 in the Adams Mark Hotel Complex in Winston-Salem. Educational classes specialized for each industry sector will be offered with the cooperation of NCSPA, GCSAA, ALCA, STMA, TETAC, USGA, NCCES, NCDA, TCNC and NCSU.
The 2005 Turf Industry Conference & Expo will provide the latest information on golf turf, lawn and landscape care, grounds maintenance, pesticide training and regulation, irrigation, sod production, sports turf management and business management. The Commercial Applicator Pesticide School will take place on January 17 and 18. Specialty hands-on workshops will be held on January 18 and 20 and concurrent turf industry sector specific educational sessions will be held on January 19. Up to 14 North Carolina Pesticide credits can be earned at this event and GCSAA, ALCA and STMA have approved this program for their educational credits as well.
Early registration deadline is December 15. Register before December 15 to lock in 2002 Conference prices. Conference registration is priced between $25 and $130 for members and Workshop registrations are priced at $50 each.
