Sweepster And FFC Attachments Donate To Detroit Project
The Sweepster Corporation donated a new John Deere skid-steer loader and a Scrap Grapple Bucket to help assist in the fifth annual “Detroit Project” demolition cleanup, hosted by Motor City Blight Busters. This event brought together 2,000 volunteers from the University of Michigan, Wayne State and a number of Detroit suburbs. The volunteers worked on 80 sites simultaneously in northwest Detroit for the purpose of neighborhood stabilization and revitalization. Activities included: crack house demolitions that will make way for new construction; boarding up dangerous vacant buildings; neighborhood cleanups; park beautification projects; public mural art projects; and cleaning up illegal dump sites.
