Absorbent Technologies, Inc. (ATI), the parent of the Zeba brand of starch-based super absorbent soil amendments, recently announced the appointment of Ed Clark as its new director for the Pacific Northwest region.

Zeba is a patented ‘second-generation’ technology for growing plants with less water, demonstrating worldwide success in commercial agriculture, horticulture, professional nursery and turf markets. It is the first practical starch-based super absorbent that is optimized for agricultural purposes.

“We’re honored to have Ed lead our efforts with growers and distributors in the region,” said Gary Olson, Vice President of Sales. “He’s enjoys a well-earned reputation as a highly knowledgeable expert and reflects well upon the Zeba brand and the excitement we’re generating in the industry.”

Clark will serve as both sales executive and technical liaison with growers in the region. He brings to Zeba an extensive background in technical sales and retail operations. Prior to ATI, Clark was the retail manager for Round Butte Seed Growers in Central Oregon. Before Round Butte, he served nearly 15 years in wholesale and retail operations, and new product development, with United Agri Products, a distributor of agricultural and non-crop inputs in the United States and Canada.
