TR70XT Series Rotor, The Toro Company, Bloomington, Minn.
The TR70XT Series commercial-grade rotorís patented TruJectory permits trajectory adjustments from 5 to 25 degrees to compensate for wind, low-hanging branches or other obstacles. Another Toro exclusive, the X-Flow shutoff device in the riser, restricts water loss if the nozzle is removed or damaged, allowing for dry nozzle changes or maintenance while the system is running. The rotorís unique arc adjustment band provides simple, precise settings from 30 to 360 degrees while eliminating palming and reducing the need for fine-tuning. Plus, a Smart Arc feature returns the sprinkler to its previously set arc in case of tampering.
The trajectory adjustment feature is a Toro exclusive that replaces low-angle nozzle sets with infinite adjustment between 5 and 25 degrees. Another innovative feature is the visual arc indication that is carried on the riser and therefore stationary to the watering area.
Jeff McKenzie and Peter Janku are responsible for the initial development. The Toro Company has been in business for 90 years and the Irrigation Division employs 211 people.
